Danica McKellar returns to How I Met Your Mother

Thursday, August 30th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Gotta love a girl who flees out the fire escape after waking up in the bed of her one-night-stand. And Danica McKellar will be back again this season after her one-night-stand with Ted during the first season.

Real-life smartypants Danica McKellar’s back in this season’s fourth episode as Ted’s first-season one-night stand — you know, the one who climbed out of his fire escape the morning after. Well, she bumps into him at the bar and apologizes for shagging and running, and then proceeds to set her sights on him anew. But she’ll find herself competing for his affections with an old sorority sister of hers — although “competing” might not be the right word since I hear there’s some serious threesome potential here.

Uh, threesome?

Neil Patrick Harris announces he is gay

How I Met Your Mother start Neil Patrick Harris has exclusively told People Magazine that he is gay. Apparently there had been speculation about his sexual orientation and rumors that he had denied being gay. But he has announced that this was false and he is in fact gay.

This announcement is hot on the tails of another television star announcing he was gay. T.R. Knight of the hit Grey’s Anatomy came out after rumors spawned from Isaiah Washington’s homophobic outburst on the set.

Neil Patrick Harris stars in the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother. He is perhaps best known as the 16 year old star of Doogie Howser, M.D. that began its run in 1989.

“The public eye has always been kind to me, and until recently I have been able to live a pretty normal life. Now it seems there is speculation and interest in my private life and relationships.

“So, rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love.”

I am not sure what prompted the speculation in this case that resulted in Neil feeling he had to come out of the closet, although PerezHilton has recently been on a campaign outting closet gay actors who have chosen to remain in the closet for whatever reason and has been targeting Neil Patrick Harris over the past few days.

Saturday, October 28th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

I love Wayne Brady. He was always my favorite on Whose Line Is It Anyway. And now he is popping up for November sweeps to star in How I Met Your Mother, as Barney’s brother.

Yes, Neil Patrick Harris is white, and Wayne Brady is definitely black. And how those biological connections will be explained has not yet been revealed. But with Wayne Brady playing the brother, you know its got to be hysterical!

The episode is slated to air on Monday, November 27th and will tape this coming week, so we are bound to get sone good spoilers on just how the odd duo siblings will be related.

Thursday, October 19th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Jane Seymour (“Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman”) & Bryan Cranston (“Malcolm In The Middle”) guest star in Monday’s episode of How I Met Your Mother, titled “Aldrin Justice”. Jane Seymour will play Professor Lewis, Marshall’s older - and sexy - law professor who is recently divorced. Bryan Cranston will play Ted’s mean boss Druthers… dontcha love that name?

“Aldrin Justice” – While Barney makes it his job to satisfy Marshall’s disgruntled law professor, Lily goes to work for Ted’s architecture company and tries to teach Ted’s big boss a big lesson, on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER Mon, Oct. 23 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Pamela Fryman, one of the series’ executive producers, directed the episode written by Jamie Rhonheimer.

Barney comes to the rescue when he tries to satisfy Marshall’s sexy, older and newly divorced law professor in the bedroom so she stops taking her divorce out on her class. Meanwhile, Lily takes a job at Ted’s company and tries to teach the boss a lesson after he is mean to Ted. After seeing the extent that Lily is willing to go for him, Ted is inspired to pitch his own idea.

It is always nice to see Dr. Quinn pop up in guest starring roles.
